Jeffrey Severin, MBA
President, CEO
Jeffrey Severin is the CEO & founder of Severin Investments LLC. He has over 27 years of investment experience both as a portfolio manager and investment strategist.
In 1991, Jeff started his financial career at John Hancock Financial Services, where he served on John Hancock's mutual fund advisory board. In 1999, he moved into portfolio management as Vice President of Investments at UBS-PaineWebber, and in 2003 he joined Wachovia Securities. At Wachovia Securities, Jeff sat on the PIM platform where he managed 6 strategies of stocks, bonds and ETFs. Jeff then formed Severin Investments, LLC in 2013.
Both art and entrepreneurship influence Jeff's life because his father, Russ Severin, pioneered television in St. Louis, MO by becoming Channel 5 KSD-TV's first program director and creating the tv show "To The Ladies." Jeff's grandfather, John Pistone, owned one of the first Chrysler dealerships in Illinois.
Tess Severin Butler, JD
Vice President, CCO
Tess began working for the firm in 2016 as an investment adviser representative after graduating from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). She took a "break" to attend law school at Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated in the top 15% of her class.
During her time in law school, Tess served as an Executive Editor on the Washington University Law Review. She also spent a summer working for the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement as an honors intern. During her second summer of law school, she worked for a large law firm on securities law matters, estate planning, and general corporate law. After graduation, Tess brought her new legal experience back to the firm as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel.
Tess is the mom of a toddler, so she isn't familiar with the concept of hobbies or free time. But she does enjoy spending quality time with her family and occasionally plays tennis.
